I am OJ, a platform architect and technical product leader in Los Angeles. I have no intention of ever leaving this functioning paradise. I like to travel (business class), and I make photographs on the way.
I co-founded Funk Media, a digital agency, in 2001, and I now build FMOS, a multi-tenant business platform on AWS, and MegaMind, the memory and agent layer that builds with it.
I specialize in technology, product and marketing, and most of my experience is in entertainment, fintech, medical and legal. Clients have included Sony, Oprah, Lionsgate, Warner Bros., Kaiser, Norton, DirecTV and Neato Robotics, and the first official website I hand-built for Beyoncé is now in the Web Design Museum.
Story
It started in the early 2000s with a from-scratch CMS for the first official websites of Beyoncé and Solange Knowles, and a message board that became the birthplace of the BeyHive. Beyoncé’s first official site is now in the Web Design Museum. In 2007 I co-founded Prime Time Uncensored and built a live internet broadcast studio before live streaming was a consumer medium.
I specialize in technology, product and marketing, and most of my experience is in entertainment, fintech, medical and legal: platforms, design systems and the teams that ship them. Clients have included Sony, Oprah, Lionsgate, Warner Bros., Kaiser, Norton, DirecTV and Neato Robotics. I translate what a business wants into modular systems that let people ship faster without breaking what already works.
